H89c The extensive botanical gardens lead to native forest in the arroyo |
From the promontory on which the house sits, a trail leads down to a tall hexagonal rancho, which is the work center for the botanical gardens. Passing one of the cabinas, the path continues through the landscaping to the head of the trail which descends into the arroyo and follows the stream for several hundred yards, crossing it twice on bridges. The trail then climbs out of the arroyo and passes by a second cabina on the way back to the house. |
